In this series of experiments, photography does not document it freezes. It interrupts the biological time of the flower and establishes another temporality, that of the image, where decomposition is indefinitely postponed.
Hybridization here is not a metaphor: it is a procedure. Flowers from different species are articulated into a single body through a metal cord, creating impossible organisms that taxonomy would not know how to name. The metal cold, inorganic, and endowed with industrial precision acts as a suture between worlds that botany keeps separate. The result is a creature that belongs more to the archive than to the garden.
